I was thinking about using certain ranges WITHIN each category.
ie. BA: could be .280-.330
HR's could be 20-40
SB's could be 5-30
etc...

I'm not sure that would be possible. There aren't many pitchers in these 3 categories under 8 million. There are 11 in the Wins category, 9 in the WHIP category, but only one of them is less than 7M, and 1 in the ERA category. Some of those probably overlap.

Or there would be some UGLY defenses.
