Not a problem Ernie. Your day is one reason the weekend clock is off. The less...tick, tick, tick...in our lives the better.

Side note *
George Lombard JR

Being from ATL I clearly remember his father as a high school student. Played for a powerhouse Catholic private school and signed to play RB at UGA for Vince Dooley. Instead John Schuerholtz swept in and inked him to a MLB contract. I think in the NIL era Georgia would have been able to provide over the table money to keep him in the backfield.

So was this a nostalgic pick, or do you expect Junior to turn things around and really produce and make it to the big leagues?

I don’t do nostalgia when building a roster. GLJ will be a productive MLB player

Lombard was ranked #200 by Rotowire. Keith Law likes him better. #98. Here's a snippet of his write-up:

His overall line of .231/.338/.334 is unimpressive, but under the hood there’s quite a bit to like......He did make some hard contact that didn’t show up in his stat line, topping out at 110 mph, and there is still a ton of projection on his 6-2 (or taller) frame to come into more bat speed and eventually in-game power.....There’s a lot of maybes here.....just bear in mind that, like a lot of teenagers, he didn’t belong in whatever the heck Low A is at this point, and that he got on base as well as he did, flashing some very hard contact for a teenager, is actually very promising.

So…you’re saying there’s a chance?

He is only 19, very athletic, fast and raised in the dugout. All positives.

Keith Law is anyway. High praise.
