Deja Vu League -- Season 28

What is the leagues view on dumping games by taking your best players and putting them on waivers to improve your draft position? Seems like this practice should be forbidden and those that do should be penalized through draft/prospect picks.

Didn't knew that it was forbidden. Don't see that in the rules. If no one is doing it, I won't do it neither. Just haven't noticed if no one was doing it, I usually mind of my own team.

Just want to get leagues thoughts on it, not all leagues are the same. Most leagues I am in, it's a forbidden practice, but often difficult to police though. I think it's wrong to lose on purpose to gain draft position advantage. Goes against the spirit of the game, looking forward to what others think.

Roster dumping -- like the Tigers did at the trade deadline this year -- is perfectly legal and is an accepted practice in every keeper league I'm in.

Throwing games, however -- like taking a dive in boxing -- can not be an accepted practice. I've never actually seen it done in Strat but I would try to put a stop to it, if I did.

JF, please restore your roster to a point where the team can play to its potential. That's what is fair to all, I believe.

Yes that I did before 10 pm. Note that Kershaw couldn't play due to injuries.

I feel it's justifiable to give decent players PT that are not necessarily your "best" players if you have a crappy team late in the season. That happens in MLB all the time...rookies, callups, scrubs and veterans play when more talent is available (like Zito's last start). Throwing games is different (like setting all your E's to steal or putting players into reverse-platoon situations).
