I thought ratiiman already had Yankees on his team and could not take Gehrig. Am I wrong?

I thought ratiiman already had Yankees on his team and could not take Gehrig. Am I wrong?

He already had the Yankees, as well as the Red Sox and Indians. With Gehrig (Yankees) and Speaker (Red Sox and Indians) as the final two restricted players, he did not have a choice - i.e., was "forced" to take a player on a franchise he already had.

I also have Red Sox and Indians. So I am forced to take one or the other. This draft has a fair amount of strategy to it.

I realize that making ratioman give up the 2 Yankees players or the 2 Red Sox players would have ripple effects throughout the draft. But he has had the advantage of picking from two of the deeper teams in terms of usable players and now gets a premier player from either of them.

If this theme is repeated, we need to figure out a way to keep that from happening.

Looking back at the draft, ratioman took two Red Sox players in the 1oth round, when the only premium players left were Speaker and Gehrig. Since he already had Yankees, he should have had to take the last premium player for a team which he did not have on his roster which would have been Tris Speaker.

I am not saying we should re-draft from his selection, but that if we do repeat this theme, there should be a rule against this.
