Time slots for Saturday have been posted on the draft thread. Be sure not to jump ahead of anyone until after the time by your pick (Eastern Time) has passed. We had one itchy trigger finger this afternoon :? :? :D

In my experience, most leagues I have been have not allowed it, but that's neither here nor there. I was clear about not skipping ahead until everyone behind you has picked earlier in this thread.

If everyone behind you has picked, you may pick immediately; you would not need to wait for your time slot to make your selection.

I know some of us (myself included) would prefer this draft move at a faster pace. And for some of us, life gets in the way of hobbies and we can't always draft promptly when we are up. The time slots running this way is a fair compromise to keep the draft going at a moderate pace while not over-penalizing someone who can't make their pick by their allotted time.

If for some reason you are not able to get to a device to make your pick during your allotted window, please PM or text me your proxy or pick and I will be happy to post it for you. If for some reason I will be unavailable for proxy duty, I will let you know on this forum.

Currently the rule regarding time slots leaves room for interpretation or commissioner discretion. If there is support from several people on formalizing rules regarding time slots (i.e., if 6 or more people PM me in support of it), I can try and write something up and the league can vote. However any rule changes should not be effective until the next draft, at soonest.

Beginning at or around Round 4, we will move to 1/2 hour windows. That will further accelerate the draft. We should be able to wrap this thing up within a little over a week. We are already way ahead of any of the other 5 keeper leagues I am in :D

Peterdouglas, your roster on the Googledoc was at 20 without Pedro Alvarez... who is on the googledoc roster that should have been dropped?

It looks like here's what happened...

Your original post listed Pedro as a cut and was made at 5:35 on March 1. I updated the Googledoc and my spreadsheet at 11:12 p.m. March 1. You edited your post on March 4. I wouldn't have gone back that far at that point to read your edited post. You should have made a new post describing the change in detail or calling it "revised cuts," making clear that Pedro should go back on your active roster.

No worries though. I will put Alex Reyes back on your prospects list and remove Pedro Alvarez from the available players list. :geek: Then we should be good to go.

Okay Cal! I have been away from Keepers until last year so maybe there's been a change. Whatever. Sorry if I added to your stress levels.

No stress, it's all good, just trying to keep it as fair and fun as possible :-) While the first round can be like herding cats, it seems we have found a rhythm.

I am a pretty detail-oriented guy, but I will try not to get too uptight

Gentlemen,

Some of you may not know that I work for the Phoenix Bat Company, we are in the Majors. I bring this up because we also make full size and jr size trophy bats. These can be displayed on a wall or your desk but they come out awesome and I think it would be great if we had an actual trophy for each season champion. I can make this happen and it would only be $4.00 per man. Let me know.

Her is a link:
