The Never Too Early Trade Talks:

It appears I will be having 6 (maybe 7 as Scherzer is marginal) SP's, including 3 potential #1's (deGrom, Darvish, Woodruff) for 2021. I am however, lacking a couple of position players that include 2nd, 3rd, C, and possibly LF (if Arozarena doesn't get a card. So, if looking forward, anyone needing an SP, SS, or both, care to open up a conversation, send me a PM.

Not to throw cold water on the hot stove, but i think we had best decide which of the two announced card sets we will be using before anyone starts making deals.

For those that may have missed it, Strat has announced they will be doing two sets next year, one with the stats from the as played 60mgame season and a second, using career stats to project players over a full 162 game season. I assume both sets will be available for our online format. I do not know if they are two two versions of each set, to include an Unleashed version.

Either way, It would be best if we decide which set we will use, prior to trades being made I'd think.

Well, while I cant speak for others, I'm not inclined to play an imaginary set. If that was the case, I wouldn't be bothering searching out different pieces. I'm also assuming most (if not all) folks used the supplemental draft with the 60 game season in mind. I have players that suffered through the shortened season, but it is what it is. I'd hate to be the owner of Abreau, Voit, D. Smith, etc and tell me I cant play them cuz in reality, they really do suck and Strat will be the ones deciding if they really do suck or not.

Totally agree. Play with the real set. Our supplemental draft was based off of real stats....not watered down stats.

I don't have a problem either way, as i figured for every guy who has a great card in 60 game set ( Hello Ozuna!!) I'll have one that will do better in the 162 game set (Looking at you Suarez). That said, I tend to lean on the side of the actual numbers set, for the reasons you gentlemen mention, I just think we should get it settled before we get to far into the doldrums of winter.
