Scoots. Too bad the Red Sox can't get players like that. Congrats JOE.

For that matter, the Chicago Cubs too.

Hey, maybe the Giants pitching is just that good! :)

Thanks for all the congrats. It's amazing that the Giants have 2 in 3 years. I didn't think I'd ever see even one. Wow.

Semper, you don't need to pick up Castro because you drafted him instead of a park. That means you didn't really draft him. Anyone can try to pick him up if they want.

I wondered about it. So, I dropped him when I realized he had a pending sexual assault against him. I can't have that crap it my clubhouse!

Only great character players on my team.

Semper, If that's true then I'm guessing we'll soon see Melky on the waiver wire! ;)

I never had such troubles trying to spend my salary cap funds.

The $100m cap forces one to waste a good $10m as they're not that many solid tier players in the ranks especially at 3B and RF.

Hey Semper, if you want to give up some of your cap, I'll take your excess! :)

:) Yeah, I actually thought of that before I dropped him!

I didn't really have a back-up closer, so Burnett can do that maybe. I also tend to like my lefty specialists to be halfway decent against RHP as well (i.e. not a disaster), but really Mijares' card looks pretty good for a lefty specialist, especially for the cheap price. But I didn't have any other RP with a closer rating, so I that was why I switched to Burnett.

What a fantastic series by the Giants! With Posey and Pablo, and that talented pitching staff, they look like they could be a solid contender for many, many years to come! Despite the lopsided series for Detroit (over the Yankees, then losing to SF), I have found this year's playoffs to be really captivating. I watched most of the games, or listened to them on ESPN radio if I was driving. Really enjoyed the playoffs this year!

Good luck everyone!! Should be lots of fun! I haven't played with a $100 mil cap (except in keeper leagues) for quite a while now, so it will take some getting used to in terms of how the games go with that much talent on each team. Looking forward to seeing how my first live draft team does!

Cheers, and good luck!

GB, just joking about Mijares.

Yeah, the Giants made the plays they had to make. You're right in that they have a lot of their core guys locked up and they're young. I found the playoffs interesting of course, but all the Division Series went five games and the NLCS also went the max so there was a lot of excitement to be had.
