Available heading into 2011:

Brandon Morrow. SP He’s usable in ‘11 at 1.95M, great in ‘12 at 5.13M (18th best SP in the set), and then has 3 really strong reliever cards between ‘15 and ‘18.

Wade Davis. .5 SP in ‘11. 6 really strong RP cards between ‘12 and ‘18, including top RP card in ‘15 set (5.87M)

Gregor Blanco. OF No card in ‘11 but ranges between 3.15M to 5.13M between ‘12 and ‘15. Great defense every year.

Dioner Navarro. C Ranges between 1.99M and 5.51M from ‘12 to ‘15 #7 catcher card in ‘13

Mark Reynolds. DH (3B/1B). Has 5 years in the 3M’s between ‘11 and ‘18

Looking primarily for draft picks for these guys or someone really strong in ‘11, ‘12, and/or ‘13

Also, for those with room for more keepers, my drops Matt Thornton RP, 1.95M in ‘11 and Vernon Wells OF, 1.91M in ‘11 can be had cheaply and are probably better than what you’d get at the bottom of the draft

Think this team should be set up for a pretty good 2011 (without seeing how super, the super teams are), but am probably better off building with an eye to the future.

If anyone is looking for LH SP, I would be interested in trading from my surplus for similar quality RH SPs.
C.Hamels, C.J. Wilson, J.De La Rosa, and/or F.Liriano

Also could make everyone (including the SPs, except Hamels) for early draft pick(s), w/ Lance Berkman, Aramis Ramirez, Michael Bourn (and a few others) as potential key pieces for someone's 2011 run. And a number of valuable role players.

Probably would not go down the rebuild path, if it does not become a total rebuild. But do want to see what interest may be out there. Thanks.

Thought this might interest some people: I figured 4 seasons of data was enough to draw some insights, so while we wait for the draft, I did a quick project in which I ran the correlations between team payroll and number of wins in every season so far (2007 to 2010) and found the average number of games you should be expected to win given your team payroll.

As you might expect, the correlation is pretty high but not perfect -- luck, team ballpark fit and construction, and managing decisions all matter of course. The biggest overachieving (/luckiest?) teams based on salary were:
Lowell Lineouts '08 (92m payroll, 110 wins; 92 wins expected based on other team performance in 2008)
Purple Haze '10 (95m, 111 wins; 94 wins expected)
Lowell Lineouts '07 (54m, 79 wins; 66 wins expected)
Sedona Scorpions '07 (107m, 118 wins; 105 wins expected)

Good job boblues41! It varies a little bit by year, but on average, a $100m team should win on average roughly 96 games, for example; a $60m team should win about 70 games.

I have the data/graphs on an Excel sheet so let me know if you'd be interested in seeing it and I can email it over.
