He had literally NO LOB in the last game while we had 7. Three base runners, all HRs. Three 1-11 Hrs. A 16% chance. Ouch.

That was a tough one to swallow under any circumstance. Having it happen after losing two nip and tuck ... Brutal.

yeah, thanks Smokey. Then we went on to lose two more one run games last night. So, I've lost 5 of 6 each by a single run!

Well, we're very happy to win 2 tonight BUT, another one run loss. Eight straight one run losses with just a single one run win and six straight with no one run wins in between  That's hard to do!

The winning run? Scored on a WP on a Catch-X a 1-4 chance.

And, we can't seem to get healthy for more than a series. Lost Jaso (who recently came off of a 15 gamer) for four (glad it wasn't more!) and Amarista for 8. :(

Hopefully things will even out here. We're three under our Pytag and now 12-16 in one runners. We started off hot there too! Maybe Hawk was just due for a one run win. He's -7 and Spider is -8 so it could be worse I suppose.

GB is 17 OVER his pythag. talk about lucky as all get out!!!!  Not sure I've ever seen someone 17 over their pythag. Goodness.

Hesitate to make moves but need more OB. Game 66 last night. Hit 7 home runs and only scored 9 runs in the loss. Not good.

That may be 7 over his pythag. But Geoff is +14 in 1-run games. WOW!! I get a shot at him tonight. :P

PS. What are my chances of having my Friday appointment cancelled at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore? What timing after a 450-mile drive!

I hate this game.

Got swept by Big A tonight. First two were one run losses. Guess it was *good* to lose 5-0 in the last one. Game one was also an 11 inning 1-0 defeat.

I guess this team has just lost its ability to win a close game. We just suck. I mean, how many teams can get swept and go from -3 on pythag to -4!!!

Spider - Yeah, my bad +7, not +17. Can't do math or win a close game I guess. Sorry to hear about your trip to Bal. Too many idiots in that city. :(

Stones, yeah, your OB isn't exactly the highest in the league.

^^^ I might have mentioned this before...

When my brother and I were growing up playing strat, my even-tempered brother would often look bewildered at my insanely good luck. "You're kidding me" was a common expression.

I've never seen a teem win so many close games, and be so far ahead of its Pythagorean projection, either.

Crazy.

Don't worry.... Soon I'll be messing up all the good karma this team has right now...I'll be finished my Canadian tax return season by end of day tomorrow. Once I start interfering with Hal's management of the team, he'll kick me in the ass soon enough.

Hal's just messing with you right now!
