What is next step? run a randomizer or just auto draft? I say the next four votes cast here in favor of one or the other rules the day. I won't vote.

AD or DRAFT?

1) MEAT limited live draft but good either way

I think Ranger makes all twelve accounted for...kev already has his team ready. Im working (feebly, painfully, unprodcutively) on mine. if it meant starting sooner, I'd try autodraft, although I agree drafting core makes for a better seven week experience. even at 90m, squeezing 25 in will be tough, and HAL 's options when someone else gets your 6m centerfielder and he gives you a 4 fielding shortstop because he's closes in salary tends to ruin things. even worse with pitching...they're not even the same handed most times.

First of all, welcome back Ranger Joe. You are #12 and we are now all set. :)

Now as far as draft type goes... One hour to build an autodraft team or days and days and days (weeks?) waiting for people to make their next pick?

While there may be a few of us (not me) willing to following a draft board constantly to pick the next player, overall this is not that crowd. Heck, more than half the league hasn't even checked in here to give an opinion on this. That's because while some of us (like me) are still totally into Strat, others in this league play only this league (or perhaps one more).

I strongly vote for autodraft ($90m, DH).

Probably best to email the group and just say AD and provide password? I prefer draft but agree we may not get finished or even start without an auto draft.

agreed...any chance we're all in by deadline tonight and start monday? if everyone loves each another enough, maybe we can do live draft with same group late in this season for another year

I'm fine either way but I have to agree with Glenn. A 5 round auto draft would probably take this group a month. If we go auto, I could get my team in around Wednesday. On vacation now returning Tuesday. So...my vote would be auto draft and everyone agree to get their team in during the course of next week so we can start next Monday.

I'm out of town at a conference this weekend. If someone is ready, feel free to create the league and email out the password. Otherwise, I will create the league perhaps on Monday. I am out of town at a conference this weekend.

As Meat and I posted above, the league should be set up as follows:

Horace Mann Invitational XIV
2014 Season (standard set)
$90m
DH
waivers
5/10/20 drop penalty

I agree that a live draft takes long - maybe much longer with this crew. That said, I find these leagues MUCH more fun if even the first four rounds are done by live draft. How about that? A four round live draft and then auto draft the rest?
