Shifting Sands Rules Selection

If you don’t like that rule then use this one, no player with a last name starting with Q can be used…

Dan Quissenberry is wounded. But this is far better in my opinion.

1 - garmonaitis - no negro league players designated NEL
2 - boobarne - No SP*
3 - barterer2002. - Must have one significant (150 AB or 50 IP for your team) player from every decade 1880s-2010s
4 - Pesky Fan - must start at least two players with defense of 4 or worse in the field
5 - Hamilton17 - 5 card draw ... when rules are finished, I will randomly assign 5 compliant players to each team. You must keep the players on your roster all season, no trades or cuts. Must use the specific assigned card for the player. You can discard up to 4 of the original 5 player cards, but they will be replaced and you cannot get rid of the replacement.

6 - Daviddec
No extreme pitching or moderate pitching ballparks, using the barnstormers stadium groupings

7 - Main Line Expos - nobody named PACO can be used

8 - wiebster - you may only draft a catcher eligible player with a +2 or greater catcher throwing rating

Rule #9-
Must have at least two switch hitters. One switch hitter is $5 million or more; second switch hitter $1 million or more.

(Pitchers do not count, Vida Blue is a switch-hitter, cannot use as your $5 million plus).

question for Weibster... do you mean to say that you can only draft C with a +2 arm or only roster Cs with a +2 arm?... a strict reading of the rule could imply that one can draft these catchers and then replace them with waivers or FAs...Henry

as to my rule requiring that a team always start 2 position players with a 4 or higher defensive rating...managers may defense for these players or platoon pinch hit for them... start will mean start...H

I will step in here and rule that all catcher eligible players with under a +2 arm (-5 >+1) are excluded. This makes it easier to monitor.

Rule # 11 - MINIMUM WAGE. The minimum wage just changed here in NY to $16/ hour (crazy).

Thus, the minimum salary will be $1.6 M. All players under $1.6 are excluded.
