Nice, looks like we got things going again. Now if we can get 63 more PA's out of Mike Trout, I'll be one happy camper.

Looks like my 2013 team will be more suited in a hitters park, so offering up pick #23 if one of the hitter's park teams want to swap out. If you prefer a player rather than a pick, I might be willing to go there as well

That lack of urgency with both drafts is stunning. Come on guys, you've visited the forums since your selection was due. Have some regard for the other players in the league please.

Whew, I desperately needed the SP for 2013 and was hoping Encarnacion was more enticing than Medlen to Aray.

I'm pretty satisfied with my pitching ... my hitting needs work, though. And I'm hoping for a little more normalcy with next year's park ratings.

Encarnacion should be a top card this year. I would have taken him in hopes of making some sort of a future trade for pitching if you went the other way.

Jerlins wrote:In defense of eligibility of this years summer prospect draft, we had a similar situation just last year. Players from the 2011 draft class were all included. Players such as Bundy, Cole, and Starling (who you selected) etc, were all drafted, so in reality, the precedent was set.

Personally, I think it's best we have a standard eligibility rule, in that we always include, or always exclude, the current years draft picks. One of these years, another Bryce Harper will come along, we'll have the draft earlier than we've had the last couple of years, the draftees will not be eiligible, and the manager with that year's #1 pick will cry foul.

What happened last year and this year cannot be undone, but we should really address this before it becomes "an incident".

Thoughts?

A couple,

First, I moved this to the league chat thread where it belongs. ;)

If you guys want an amendment that stipulates this year's drafteee,s some one draw it up and we'll vote on it.

Me, I have no problem with the "floating" eligibility, because the rules spell out who's eligible, but that's just me.

I agree with Bill on this one. The rule is very clear. And there is nothing in it that suggests that some prospects are off limits, only that the conditions of the rule be met.
