Yeah, with an OPS of 693 too! Weird.

Similarly, the Juicers ( who have been anything but Juicers. ;) ) have managed to score some runs anyway. Not as many as Corky, but enough to be in second place.

I think we'll be better than a .225 BA team when all is said and done (at least I hope so!). I know we're not going to have high BAs in our park, but we stink almost as bad on the road so far!

True...although I am in the middle of the pack in slugging %. I do have some guys severely underperforming though...especially Adam Jones at .179 BA and a .330 SLG%, and Chris Carter .180 BA and .337 SLG%...those guys have to get better for me to take the division.

Maybe there's just really good pitching and defense in the league this time around because I feel like many on my team are way under too.

Adam Jones has struggled mightyly in 80% of the leagues I've been in this season. Hitters are generally going to under-produce some simply because the pitching is better here than in real baseball. But, I know you guys know that.

Well, there's under performing and suckage. Those are two different things! Right? ;)

Wright 216
al Ram 135
E Cab 188
willingham 218
Marte (platooning) 143
Bourn 217
Hunter 228
Walker 185
Welling Castillo 170 v LHP
Kendrick 208 v LHP

That's suckage, not just facing good pitching. Don't you think?

I have Mauer, Aoki and Rizzo who are remotely close to what you might think. I assume it's because I'm facing really good pitching.

DJ, you're in first. Why the moves?

BTW, I had some time today so the ratings are coming soon. Probably tomorrow night. But I'm not sure I'll include the moves DJ just made. I don't think they helped his rating. :?:

You took the words right out of my mouth Joe, although that list would have been my players instead. :)

Yeah, well, I had a few beers on Saturday night. I'm not really complaining as it's early and, Jeep, you're right, we are going to underperform especially in a 100 mil league and in a park with 1 bpsi!

I'm just happy to be where we are with the hitting as poor as it's been. I think we've been a bit lucky perhaps.

Corky record in one runners is so frustrating. I've been there for sure. :(

Ok, don't have the ratings ready in all their glory so I'll give you some teasers...

Best division in ratings in the East.
Best Ratings by division:
E - DJ & Stoney are neck and neck
C - Jeep
W - JTJ

Best O by a good distance - GB (Stoney is pretty close)
Best P no fielding included - DJ
Best Overall D - Big A by a good distance over Big M
Best Fielding - Big A
Best Rating DJ

Rating are very close (as expected) for the first 4-5,
Big gap for Hawk, Semper and AT at the bottom

The following chart looks at each team's rating in each park. You get +1 if you're higher and -1 if you're not. If it's essentially even then nothing added or subtracted.

Code: Select all
Team Advantage   Div
stoney.   15        E
DJ.....   14        E
Big M..   11        E
JTJ....   9        W
Jeep...   5        C
big A..   2        W
GBrook.   1        W
Corky..   -3        C
Keyzick   -5        C
Semper.   -11        E
Hawk...   -16        W
At.....   -22        C

As you can see the East is deep. Should be a dogfight and the WC would likely come from here.
No surprise to see GB in the middle, good in hitter's parks, not in the others.
Jeep looks like the class of the Central
JTJ has an advantage in the West, but Big A in pitchers parks and GB in hitters parks just have to win enough close one in their "weak" parks to put themselves over the top.

More to follow.
