since we're weighing in...the change in Reelin' to same order as FA draft for prospects, worst to first, not serpentine was overdue. it makes no sense that a playoff team may ALSO have a chance, and often does get a top prospect pick, while a team finishing last or near the bottom in the west, might also, and often does get stuck with a 10-12 prospect pick. in what league in what sport is a draft order determined that way? those picks that just got traded for the top homerun hitter and mvp candidate donaldson could easily be 12 and 13. since there's no way of knowing where tc's team will finish with a combined record in this year's two seasons, there's an already an element of chance, but at least when you make a trade for prospects, you have some idea whether the team you're dealing with is likely to have a top five or bottom 5 record. but that's secondary to what I believe is the bigger flaw...allowing already successful teams to possibly have higher picks than teams already struggling.
