Luck?

I blame it on the PRC Internet police working their mojo in Shanghai?

But my guys had been seen less favorable roll ratios but I noticed that the rolls even out by year's end

Luckily, my ATG teams aren't so unlucky.

Semper,

Yeah, that's a good point. I wasn't sure what was significant on rolling on the pitchers/hitters cards and then I forgot about it. I'll have to take another look.

Here are the numbers. I'd guess you'd ahve to say that DJ and maybe AT have been a bit lucky in rolling on their cards, but is 2.2 or 1.3% enough to make a differnce?

Same with SToney, GB and Keyz being unlucky with -2.2, -1.4 and -1.2 respectively.

Code: Select all
Mgr     Hitters   Pitch   Dif +/-
DJ.....   51.9%   50.3%   2.2%
AT.....   51.2%   50.1%   1.3%
Big M..   50.5%   50.3%   0.8%
Semper.   50.7%   49.9%   0.6%
Hawk...   50.3%   50.2%   0.5%
Jeep...   50.7%   49.5%   0.3%
Zim....   50.1%   50.1%   0.2%
JTJ....   50.1%   49.4%   -0.5%
BigA...   49.5%   49.9%   -0.6%
Keyz...   49.2%   49.6%   -1.2%
Gbrookes   49.2%   49.3%   -1.4%
Stoney.   49.0%   48.8%   -2.2%

Hey Joe, this is interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing it with us!

I have a question relating to the miscellaneous strat die roll stats, re BP SI and HR-

My impression shortly after strat created this page was that it was only keeping track of BP results that were rolled to YOUR OWN CARD - i.e. 4,5, or 6 for your pitchers, and 1,2 or 3 for your batters.

If my theory about what strat is "charting" is correct, then there is still a lot of "luck" data missing - i.e. the BP results from rolls to your opponents' cards!!!

Does anyone know if my theory is correct about the data being accumulated on the miscellaneous page?

GB,

If you know when you rolled on YOUR card, then you know you DIDN'T roll on THEIR card right? ;)

So, you have both data, you just have to look at it backwards to see your opponents.

Right?

Lucky for once

My 107 win barnstormer atg team gets the love sucked out of the dice in Game 7 of the finals

The loss places me 10th in the tournament - 1 win away from an automatic bid in the tournament.

BUT my McHale's Navy of a team takes two from Joe's guys and I feel like the luckiest guy in the game today.

No doubt, I consider myself the unluckiest team in this league. Hamels is 3-20 .. that alone is proof enough.

Now my brain is really being taxed!!! 8-)

I honestly haven't gone back to try to answer my own question, since I first posed this question to myself. Something to occupy my idle mind between Christmas and New Years!

GB,

You'll figure it out. Big A, hurts when a guy like that can't get a win. What's his run support like?

We had to make a move today. Lost Guzman for 15 so he wouldn't come back till there was 9 left. Grabbed Willingham and Hafner to fill his spot and Smith's. Had to let Aviles go in the process. Not happy about that, but not much else could be done. Guzman has probably been my best hitter. :(

Only managed one win tonight losing the first 2-1 on an unearned run and the second we left 11 to his 2. So it goes.

Need to win at a 750 clip to have a chance. Not probable.

Well, losing Guzman will make it easier for you! If we keep losing 2 of 3 it won't be hard. :(

We continue to have the 4th best run differential, but we're tied for teh fourth worst record. Blah. Tough to take.

Wow, just realized that Romo is pushing a 4.00 ERA  and RHB have hit .225 against him even though he doesn't have a single anything V RHB on his card. :(
