You can go under the "Info/Help" tab and click on the player set browser and get most of the years on that...pretty cool thing that was added IMO

1st 4 rounds you guys left my players alone. I always take the first RP. NOW you are taking everything I look at. I am not going to look anymore!
If A. Gonzales and Ellsbury would have made it back around I was going to take them. That would have given me 4 players at $10MIL or more for this season. Didn't want them in the long run but Ellsbury, Gonzales, Bautista and Cabrera would have been a great top 4 lineup for this year.

That was going to be my question, chas.

This is my first time at THIS kind of rodeo, hence some neophyte questions.

1. There is no $ limit on the team we have on our ACTIVE roster, and the $200 is simply to give us the flex as field managers to bring up and send down guys from our Minor Leagues.

2. I took 2011 Ellsbury, although he sucks in 2012 set. I was careful with my other 2011 selections to make sure that they had either the same or better years in 2012. But as I needed a good CF -- and salary cap doesn't seem to be an issue -- Ellsbury fit the bill. BUT, I assume that this is not a good long-range move for when we play with the 2012 set. At that point, would the strategy be to drop him in favor of a free agent from 2012 that fills his shoes?

Please just tell me I'm on the right track. I do, however, expect to learn a few lessons the HARD way here.

This is my first go at this also. I went with guys that had good years for both at first. M. Cabrera, Cain and Kimbrel. Montero is pretty good but want a lazer arm behind homeplate. I had to take Bautista because I couldn't pass up on the 2011 card. I would have taken Ellsbury also in this round. Looking hard for more players good in both years but it is getting pretty thin. I guess you need to think which way to go. Win now or build for later. With 40 rounds (480 players) I don't think much will be left after that.

I see no need to drop Ellsbury if you carry 28 players on your roster. There should be many options for this league. You will have to drop some players before next season though.

I looked over your picks. They look good but you also look old in Pujols and Ramirez. Ellsbury can't seem to stay healthy. That is what I keep seeing in my picks (old). Don't think that is a big deal though.

Not really sure what to do yet. So far the best move I have seen was the trade up by Fred, he got two pretty good SP for next year out of that. Beachy had Tommy John surgery but will have a killer card next year. Have to wait and see what edub gets in return. 4 picks in 2 rounds is nice.
Hard to build a team when you don't know what park you are going to get.
