mlbphan wrote:BTW just a quick question.

are we not extending prospect eligibility by one year because of the pandemic?? for example prospects drafted in 2019 would not have to be promoted until 2022 & prospects drafted in 2020 would not have to be promoted until 2023. I only ask because many leagues are adopting this method of extending prospect eligibility because of the lost year of development.

Good either way but want to know before I start moving players.

Status quo. I don't recall discussions about modifying this, but could be mistaken.

From February 24th

...but if we are opening it for a vote, I also vote yes.

I'll open the prospect question up for a vote. I think we should still keep the cap of 10 prospects...that does not change. This would be a one-time extension. Prospects drafted this year have the normal 2-year life cycle before they must be promoted.

Voting on: do we extend prospect eligibility by one year for all existing prospects? If yes, this means you do NOT need to promote your 2019 prospects for this upcoming season for 40-man considerations. 2019 drafted prospects will be moved to 2022, 2020 drafted prospects to 2023.
