Sadly, Joseph Kendall left the league. But we have his replacement now in the ghost of Roger Maris...not literally but the guy calling himself that.

Drops will be due at 9pm, pacific time on the 15th. I'm giving everyone some additional time to get caught up with the new cards and also to get other drafts you may be involved in out of the way.

With that said, official drafting will begin at 7 am, pst on the following Monday, the 18th of March.

Make sure your drops are made by 9 pm -pst on the 15th to get to at least 30 - and down to 25 if you wish. If any rosters (major league only of course) are over 30 after that deadline I will drop whomever I see fit to get to the minimum 30.

1. DROPS - MUST get to at least 30 and CAN go as far as 25 by 9 pm, pst the 15th of March. Please list them in this thread. Thank you

Also list any promotions of your minor leaguers at this time.

2. 2013 SPRING FA DRAFT - Begins officially at 7 am, pst on the 18th of March. I'll list the entire draft order AFTER ALL drops are finalized.

Thanks again.

Sometimes baseball is too much like real life. I'm referring to Cameron Maybin. Loads of potential but something always seems to get in his way towards achieving that potential. Now it's his wrists. Actually theu've been bothering him for at least the last year and had a measurable effect on his performance in 2012. Unfortubately he enters Spring Training again hampered by sore wrists. He doesn't appear to be a guy the padres can count on to be their fixture in CF.

The sad part is Cameron was so looking forward to being in the starting line up when he got word of being dealt to the Padres. Florida had yo-yo'd him between the major and minor leagues to the point it made him question his abilities. Now that he has the startting gig he can't perform as he might due to wrist issues. On top of that there's word the team is not impressed by Maybin's demeanor or work ethic. Seems to me things are snowballing in the wrong direction for Maybin. I know the Padres signed Maybin to a five year deal at the start of the 2012 season but I can't imagine them putting up with his lack of inspired play for too much longer. And if you ask any padres fans (like me for instance) if they think he was a top notch defender they'd say definitely not. I don't know how he gets the "1" designation. He makes high-lite reel plays but also too often looks lost in his route to flyballs. He's too inconsistent in everything he does...maybe except for running the bases. That's life I guess. Seems tragic to me in the wasted potential sort of way.

I agree Fred...living in Michigan until 2010 allowed me to see him play early on and all the hype the Tiger organizization gave him was incredible. I think most Tiger fans weren't real happy when he was shipped to the Marlins, but I'd say now they understand after 5-6 years of expectations for him. His career minor league line in 421 games .305/.393/.477/.870 as opposed to his MLB career in 452 games .251/.314/.374/.688

Was time to cut bait! :D
