Guys,
I updated the roster sheet, and will email you the link. I will also include an excel copy. The rosters are updated, so check to see if that matches what you have. The one issue with the trades was this one:
Hudson Royals trade RP-Danny Farquhar to Joker
for
2015 5th rd FA pick (Midori Marauders--Russ)
Joker to confirm.
Thanx,
Rick P
On my sheet, I have that Joker has Russ' 6th round pick, not 5th. Is that a mistake, or did you guys mean to trade the 6th rounder?
I'd be up for having an unlimited salary cap, and with the 28 man rosters. However, a few of the rules that I don't like (not changing ballparks, inning limits) have been created to keep the league as realistic as possible, and this rule is a huge deviation from that.
As for Jay's solution to the 28 man roster, keeping 28 for the entire season is clearly against the rules (as is starting a series with 26+ healthy players), so that would just be making the problem worse. A better solution to the issue would be to impose a penalty for those who violate the rule, if people are getting frustrated. Let's make it a real disadvantage to leave your team with too many healthy players (or expand rosters for the entire season). We don't have penalties for violating most rules, and I don't think we typically need them, unless people are wantonly violating them, or it can create an advantage. This league is friendly and fun, so let's keep it that way and fix the issues that will invariably arise.
