In writing the rule amendment, I left the length of time for the window intentionally unspecified to allow for commissioner discretion on how long of a window. I'd be more inclined to a 2 hour window, personally, but will consider all comments.

Jim's idea of a 4 hour window *does* sound good.

Keep in mind, your YES vote is for a one hour window.

No, a YES vote is not for a one hour window. The length of time for any picks in any rounds has been left up to commissioner discretion. We have traditionally gone with 1 hour rounds for rounds 2 through 4 or so, and then bumped to 1/2 hour rounds. However, the length of time and when the rounds change has been left to commissioner discretion.

Tosh I think the rule is written to allow the Commish discretion.

I think it's more about should there/shouldn't there be a limit. If Cal is too strong or too lenient, a subsequent vote could be offered to specify the time.

As for me being late in my pick this year: Guilty as charged. I was in a live fantasy draft and didn't realize that I was up already. That being said, if my time had expired and the next guy up picked and I got skipped, I would still support that rule because the mistake/slowness was on me :)

Toshiro, a one hour window is even better. At any rate, a four hour window would have completed round one by Sunday. Just throwing that out there.

And of course, we are starting to move again. Nevertheless, I think this would be a good rule change, just to give everyone far clearer expectations for the first round and reduce frustration.
