Why don't we fold the prospect draft into the MLB draft. One draft. Forty players .In any combo Carded, not carded, prospect or distant prospect ( the local High school phenom ,my nephew or Derek Jeters first born )
Load up with prospects ,or not, different strategies, some drafting prospects in the first round right after Posey ,others taking no prospects

so unless there is a revolt I declare that we all love to draft and will go with the following prospect and roster rules:
6 prospects per team prospects are by definition all players who have not appeared in the MLB but are signed by an MLB club
once drafted Prospects can remain on the prospect roster for 2 years at which time they must be promoted or cut; trades do not effect the prospect deadlines
Any and ALL players who have ever appeared in an MLB game may be drafted in the annual Free Agent draft...
Guys, there is no vote. It's been settled. We are using any MLB experience for future Annual drafts. The initial draft is also using that same formula - RULES.

Is it the intention with this rule to discourage drafting a player like Nick Gordon, who might be more than 2 years out, since he would need to be cut or promoted, regardless of MLB experience, after 2 years? I guess I would rather that prospects could be used to build for the future and that they shouldn't have to be promoted or cut until at least they earn a Strat card.
