Hey Doc. The answers to your questions are in

1) If there is a player on your team roster but it is not his highest priced card, yet he is not being used on another team, can you then pick that player up and use him? (examples: a} Derrek Lee, whose highest priced card is on the Cubs who were not picked, yet he does have a Marlins card - can the team with the Marlins take him? b} Omar Vizquel has his highest salary card on the Indians, but if they decide not to use him (say they prefer to use Boudreau), can I as the Giants pick him up to use after the draft?) --- I ask this based upon Bernie's comments about how Tiant was discussed earlier in this thread.
a} For players carded to more than one franchise, the franchise with the highest priced card owns the primary rights to the player. If the franchise with the primary rights to the player is not selected, the franchise with the next highest card owns his rights. Note the franchise using the card can use any card for that player. b} There are two circumstances under which you can use a card not being used by the franchise with primary rights (the highest priced card) for the player: 1. You have the permission from the primary owner to use the card; or 2. In the absence of permissive use, any manager with secondary rights can pick up the unused player after completion of the first night's games.--follow up question - If you can pick up that player, can you use any card of theirs (I would assume yes - although it is a moot point if you can't)
Yes2) How have you guys been going about trade discussions? is it on these boards, in league mails, e-mails, texts, phone calls, zoom?
I can't speak for others, but all of my trades and related discussions have been through league mail and I assume that applies to most managers in the league.3)Is there an email list for all the team owners? My e-mail currently is
richard.hack@mercy.net.
I know of no email list of managers, but it is an excellent idea to have email addresses and cell phone numbers for all managers especially during the team draft, to help avoid long delays. 4) I understand that each team may only execute 1 trade each season, and the trade should be done after teams are drafted so they will be tracked in the transactions for the league. Can trades be modified? .....By which I mean, should teams decide on a single player swap, but as they are fine-tuning in the preseason decide also they would like to swap an additional player or more, can the same teams perform this modification to their trade (essentially making it a multi-player trade)?
This question has never been asked before, so it is really a question for the Commish. However, the practice has been one and done on trades, with no later supplements to the trades having even been considered. Being aware of such, I've made a couple of large deals, about 10 player total. 5) Is there a restriction on which ballpark must be selected? (Can the Giants play in Shea for example, or are they restricted to a park that matches their team, such as Polo or Candlestick)?
Your team is not limited to ballparks used by your franchise. Use ANY ballpark from the list of available parks for the 1946+ player set. Thanks in advance for any clarification, Doc.
You're welcome and I hope the above answers help you, Doc. Good luck this league. - Bernie
