Steve, you took Allen who Stoney had taken in the LD. Please offer him a trade.

Oh, and Ozuna belongs to Big A

Picking Allen was a mistake. Should have seen that one.

Ozuna hadn't been picked when I went to bed last night so I think I can be forgiven for that one.

Eh, it's ok. It happens pretty much every league. Gives those guys a leg up on the waiver wire I guess.

By the way, what is the significance of "Dang Bobby Richardson"?

I'm a Giants fan. In 1962, a line drive from McCovey with the winning run at second in the bottom of the 9th in game seven ended up in Richardson's glove. If he'd positioned just few feet away, the Giants win the World Series!

And to make matters worse -- it would be 27 more years before the Giants would reach the World Series (1989) only to see them get swept by the A's. All the while watching the Dodgers go to the World Series in 1963, 1965, 1966, 1974, 1977, 1978, 1981 and 1988 -- winning 4 of those times.

I am not sure how old JTJ is, but I doubt he was very old (if even born yet) in 1962 -- so having your entire youth and young adulthood spent being disappointed in your team could make the one fleeting moment in 1962 seem bigger. :D

Love ya Joe!!! :)

My Dad grew up a huge Yankees fan. He remembered the DiMaggio's, Mantle's etc. But, his favorite player was undoubtedly Bobby Richardson. A native South Carolinian and a man of faith. He would often speak at Churches in the area when his career was over.
