A lot of pundits have changed their minds on that. Schilling, Larkin, and Kruk were talking right after 2011 Game 6 saying it was the best ever, as did Tim McCarver. The main thing is, you had to be watching it (networks had it on late) live (so as not to know the outcome), taking all of that into account it is unequalled. I was pissed when the Rangers went up 7-4. Then the Furcal left the bases loaded in the 8th at 7-5. That seemed horrible. Then 2-on 2-out 1-2 count vs Feliz, and BOOOOOOM, Freese crushes a triple to tie. My house was jumping. Then Hamilton's 2-run shot in the top of the 10th, dead silence. We had .220 hitter Descalso(lefty) coming up, then Jay(lefty) who was 1-16 in WS, then the pitcher's spot (lead-off spot) with no one left on the bench, vs a lefty pitcher. Descalso single, Jay bloop, Lohse sac bunt, Theriot force for a run, Pujols Int Walk, and 2-2 count with 2 outs to Berkman...BOOM. Then bottom of 11th, 3-2 count..."We'll See You Tomorrow Night" Freese HR. And, yes, I may be biased, but it was, to me, the best event ever (except USA vs USSR).
But ALL the games mentioned were awesome. The great thing about baseball. The way the drama builds, is incredible. And when it is your team, it is magic.
