***Question- non-drafted players at the top 6 slots???*** I'm assuming that this is the case.
Re my draft:
I'm very happy with the draft. That doesn't mean I won't do some tinkering, though, but I am very happy.

I always find it challenging to try to win with a small ball team, but I obviously went the other way with this draft. Picking early in the draft is tempting for drafting big hitters, and I had a chance to draft Harper. I don't seem to get that chance often, so that really made me go the slugger route.
Having said that to myself, I tried to get as many ballpark homerun chances as I could, throughout my lineup. I wanted Miller, to get the HR chances, but leave myself flexibility on the L-R split issues. The only players that I was really targeting that I didn't get were Kris Bryant and Kyle Schwarber. I got Crawford and Schoop at the middle infield spots, which I'm very very happy with, given the objectives for the team.
I also thought that I would draft some extreme L balanced hitters. Paradoxically, it's always difficult to get R balanced hitting on an overall team basis. Harper and Ortiz were my first 2 picks (if I remember right). Then I went after the L balanced guys, so that it freed me up to draft a lot of extreme R balanced guys. In the end, I think my balance is fairly even, with the platoons factored in, so I am happy with that.
As for pitching, it clearly took a secondary role for me. I am going to try to reprise my strategy of a few NLD's back where I had almost all relatively low salaried starters. I drafted 3 relatively high priced relievers (sort of high priced, anyway), so my focus is going to be getting through 5 innings and then going to the pen.
I can't complain at all with the draft. It really worked out the way I planned it. Here goes with the slugfests!!!!!!
