Interesting analysis semper...there should be a good amount of free agent activity tonight.

Well I'm only open at CF but I'm 1st in waivers and I see someone I might want there. ;) Would not have traded Ellsbury w/o that 1st waiver position. 8-)

Trumbo will likely be released of course.

I trust you're not joining Joe's trend with the sub $1M position player ;)

I load the Central division teams and played a half dozen Human vs. Computer games during my flight yesterday.

Early observations
    Home run palooza
Relief corps used early and often
Quite a few blow out games - (mostly dice favoring batters' cards)
HAL preferred relief specialist over generalists
RH pitching in LH parks not a death knell
GbAs and slick fielding IFs placed premium on aggressive base running
OF arms kept things in check for two teams only
C arms matter for two teams
Injuries didn't significantly impact but BigA's team had issues competing 3B filled

Amarista in CF for Jeep! Do it Jeep, do it! ;)

So Adam Jones or possibly Rasmus will be going to Jeep with the first pick I would gather. Jackson, Gentry and Fowler don't look like good fits for the Jeep.

That's a big trade (obviously) and will make the waiver period more interesting for sure. Jeep will also need to pick up another SP since Colon hit the waiver wire.

AT is sitting with $8 mil now that he made the decision to go with Escobar over Gregorius. Will that cause a ripple effect on the SS position? The Banks-ers will be interested to see what shakes out in that space. Or, at least, that's the story at this point. ;) 8-)

Why can't I start Pedro Hernandez. His WHIP is only 1.82.

I'm a big supporter for Pedro getting the ball at every chance possible. He's a solid #3 starter - no questions on that rotation alignment.

Interesting take by Joe on Jeep's available CF free agents. I don't see Adam Jones finding employment on any roster. Grabbing a "2 INJ+" CF seems outside the risk profile with the need for another solid replacement high.

I liked Ortiz for his drafted team but we'll see how that plays out after the waivers run.

After a lack of injuries for the high injury prone guys last season maybe people are willing to take more chances. I think Votto had a highly improbable amount of ABs for one.

I think your team would be VERY tough with Amarista in CF and Pedro in the rotation! Go for it Jeep!

Well, if not those two then who:?: I'm not sure that Jeep would want to play a 3 in CF (although it's been done before)

Corky, true enough, injury guys are high risk/high reward. For example, get to the finals only to see your best player(s) go down for the whole series.
