2010 Keeper League Chat Thread

Fellas,
I hope all is well. Here are some proposals for a Rule Changes and Additions that are needed to eliminate "Loop Holes" in our Rules. Please vote Yes or No to the Proposals on our league ILC Chat Thread.

ITEM # 1
Add After the Card Set Section:
CLOCK RULES
1.) In all of our Drafts, there is no clock for Round 1. Subsequent Rounds will operate on a 2 Hour Clock, UNLESS the Commissioner determines that the Draft is dragging. Then a 1 Hour Clock Schedule will implemented the following day. The Commissioner will notify owners by email the evening before the day of implementation.
2.). Draft Times are from 10 A.M. EDST - 10 P.M. EDST.
3.). All Drafts will be either suspended or No Clock on Saturdays & Sundays. (I can go either way. State your preference)
NOTE: Delete Rules 7 & 8 for the Annual FA Draft. Delete Rules 5 & 7 for the Prospect Draft.
Delete Rules 5 & 8 for the Supplemental FA Draft.
ITEM # 2
Add to Rules Announcing DROPS and PICKS
1. ADD NOTE After RULE 9 of the Supplemental Draft and before the Card Set Section:
No Changes will be allowed once a DROP or a PICK is announced
on the League ILC DROP and DRAFT THREADS. Only EXCEPTION is when a
PICK can be changed in a Draft is when the Player picked has
already been taken or owned by an owner.

ITEM # 3
Add to Prospect Rules
RULE 8: All owners are responsible for maintaining their Prospects' Eligibility Status. The
Commissioner will notify owners of any discrepancies prior to the Annual FA Draft. If
owners do not promote the Prospect receiving an SOM Card, RULE 6 APPLIES.
Prospects cannot be dropped during any draft under no circumstances.

ITEM # 4
Add to Prospect Draft to RULE 6:
The Commissioner may help to provide a list of Prospects if available, but not mandatory.
The Commissioner will provide a list of Prospects already owned.

ITEM # 5
Add to Player Movement:
RULE 1a.) The Roster FREEZE DEADLINE begins when the first DROPS are announced on the
ILC before any Draft. Rosters are frozen until the appropriate Draft begins. No
TRADES are allowed at this time until the appropriate Draft begins.

I feel that these changes are necessary to preclude situations from happening that are not covered by our league rules that have crept up. Also, I am trying to eliminate some repeated draft rules with a formal general statement.
I will post this on the League ILC CHAT Thread sometime tomorrow for owners to vote on. Please vote YES or NO for each Rule Change or Addition. Please feel free to make suggestions as well. If you strongly disagree with something, please let me know and your reasons and we can get other inputs. Thanks for all you do to help make this a great league.

The 2015 Supplemental FA Draft DROPS Thread is up. DROPS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN JUNE 13!!! Rosters are FROZEN at that date. NO changes will be made, so make sure you drop the right players. ONLY SUPPLEMENTAL FA DRAFT PICKS CAN BE TRADED AT THIS TIME! I will add the Dropped Players to the Available Players Listing. I am shooting for June 19th to start the 3 Round Supplemental FA Draft. The First Round has no Clock.

While I'm all for moving drafts along, I'm a uncomfortable with this provision. It leaves too much to the benevolence of the Commissioner.

I don't mind the clock being on during the weekend. But for the sake of the vote, I suggest you choose one and let people vote on it.

I'll vote yes if this makes it easier on the Commish, but I feel like changing picks prior to an announced drop date is fair, and conducive to trades and getting people to post prior to the deadline.

I'm open to voting yes on the drops provisions if you feel strongly, but my preference is to allow changes until the deadline, and to try a 2 hour clock and see how it flows.
