just a reminder....I see many people drafting prospects with 2 or 3 at-bats. I get it, it's an investment, but remember you must be able to put 25 of your 30 drafted guys on the Autodraft Card. That means you can NOT have more than 5 of these prospect-type uncarded players on your 30 man roster that we are drafting now.

just a heads up before it gets too late.

happy drafting!!!

You know, it stinks that Randy Choate does not have a card. I know he only pitched 27.1 innings, which didn't hit the innings cutoff for the online game, but he appeared in 71 games for the Cardinals last year. Maybe for a one-trick-pony like Choate, Strat needs to implement a fatigue rating of 1/3 of an inning.

At 40 years old that may have been his last chance at a card.

Aaron Barrett isn't quit that extreme but was cut off at 29.1 innings with 40 games.

Maybe a different cut-off should be made for lefty specialists. Wouldn't that be an ideal candidate, in principle, for the unleashed game?

I've sent proxies to ghost, and I'll check the draft thread as often as I can today.

Really? It's Randy Choate. Why would it matter? Unless maybe he's your cousin, or your dad or something.

Choate has 26 hits and 37 total bases against LHB with 3 ballpark HR's, and 11 walks 34 hits and 48 total bases (but no HR at all) against RHB.

We can have his card added to the set if you really want him, but you've gotta use him.

Personally, I wish they would have the Babe Ruth 1923 card in this set.

LOL Well put.
Right about now I'd rather see a card for hkmossy so we could let him pick himself and move on. At least "mossy" is an appropriate name, given the pace at which he moves. To look on the bright side, with the time we've all had to ponder our picks, that 30th round should be best one of the whole draft!

LOL. My comment was totally tongue in cheek. I understand SOM's innings rule for deciding the pitcher list. However, in the spirit of simulation, it makes less logical sense to me to leave out a player who impacted 71 of his team's games, but to put guys like Rob Refsnyder, Kyle Blanks and Jarrett Parker in when they combined for only 55 appearances.   But I guess that's the game. It's not about simulating an MLB season. It's about understanding the cards SOM gives us, the stadium ratings, and the team settings and making them work for us.
