Just drafted Miggy and Big Papi as my 3rd and 4th batters. Can't get much better than that!

Everyones in first place in November, eh. ;) Your Steve Johnson pick in the first draft brought to mind something Bernie said about SP/RP's last spring.

.......there are stricter guidelines for the SP/RP's whose SP ratings we remove. They are:

- started fewer than 10 games
- threw less than 40% of their IP as a starter
- are priced at $3M+ (this part is on the flexible side)

For Johnson to get a SP rating next year:
- He started 4 amongst his 13 appearances. Bad.
- 57% of his innings were as an SP. Good.
- His value will be >$3M. Bad.

We'll find out which metric will be weighted more in March.

Yeah, I thought I'd take a chance on that one (and Kozma, too), in the spirit of the unleashed set. I'm hopeful that Johnson will be the Dillon Gee card of this year!

I almost never see someone with 5 starts or less and a bunch of RP innings, get that SP rating. Again first set to be released by SOM instead under TSN, but I wouldn't be counting on it.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see, At the very least, Johnson will be a fine RP!

I was really hoping that Gonzalez would fall to me. Verlander, Medlen and Gonzalez would have made for a great 3!

DANG IT!

We'll use 1/4/7/10 in the EAST, 2/5/8/11 in the CENTRAL and 3/6/9/12 in the WEST.
(BASED UPON HOW WE SIGNED UP FOR THE DRAFT)

Here are the divisions for the first draft:

West
visick
keyzick
Chase
Terry

Central
Frank
Palmtana
ironwill
Kev

West
geekor
tcochran
zim
Dan

And a bump for the google doc so you can see how you stack up against your foes.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... 1QlE#gid=0

visick, are the divisions for the 2nd draft determined in the same way as the first?

I check this site every day and have never waited 24 hours to pick a player. On weekends I check all day long. I don't want to choose a player until I see which way everyone is going and this game won't start for awhile.

Sorry for any problems this has caused.

Mike

We're doing alright, Chase. Last year the first draft took 18 days and the second 26. The first draft this year lasted 24 days. What's an 8 hour wait when we have 3000 hours to go until the cards come out.

Maybe with the 2nd league we could just jump in when ready...

Chase...I for one forgot these were only 12-rounders! I thought we were going 25 deep, so was thinking we had to pick it up to get both in before the rating books were released.

My bad there...no worries. I like quicker paces, but we obviously have no hurry here, so we can chill. 8-)
