why don't we go direct to an autordraft after round three finishes. people can keep the three they selected and just put their free agents onto their draft list and hope for the best... this draft is just taking too much time for too little return. just a thought. PJK

Great idea, Pete. We seem to have lost momentum from Sandy. I contacted mrharryc. Our draft had slipped his mind. He'll make his picks this afternoon.

At this point, I think that it's too early to go to an autodraft to fill our free agents, as we don't have to fill our league until Friday night for a Monday start. Plus an autodraft deprives those with the later picks in the first 3 rounds of a chance at the best free agents to make up for lost players.

I'm hoping that everyone is on board now and that the remaining rounds will move quickly.

Please check back here from time to time on the progress of the draft and so that we can keep the draft moving along.

I'll reconsider Pete's idea at midweek if the draft hasn't made sufficient progress. - Bernie

Somebody please remind me never to do a draft in the ILC thread unless there's a time limit and a time keeper. At least with Diamond Dope, proxy picks can be made.

This is slower than smoke and worse than playing chess by mail!

The long delays are particularly surprising given how quickly the league filled.

It might also help that if someone is a few picks away, but not up immediately, they can send a couple of proxy picks to another manager who has recently picked, and the proxy pick can be posted.
