NLD XXXVI - The Fun Continues

gmac hasn't posted anywhere else and hasn't replied to a PM I sent him. In addition, after looking at his "stats", he's not exactly a profilic poster. Of course, currently we don't have a replacement anyway. So it would appear we're back to needing one more manager or gmac to show up.

Anyone have any more ideas?

No offense to GMAC but I suggest we look elsewhere. Not a good sign so far, especially with joe indicating he doesn't normally seem very active. My suggestion again is a players tournament finalist.

Hi guys. Sorry I was away all weekend at a folk festival (the Winnipeg Folk Festival).

They had a tribute to Pete Seeger on Sunday. Joan Baez was there. Pretty cool.

I have 4 people who volunteered to join our league, but there's only 2 spots.

They are gmac94, hveed, jmp1, and MEAT, in chronological order or reply.

Based on this, I intend to invite gmac94, and hveed, since they replied first.

Any comments?

So gmac checked in - but never came back - probably didnt like the pre-draft appetizer selection - hveed never showed up - probably got lost enroute (moral of the story never use a map given by Semper Gumby) - jmp1 is currently in the loop and with a little luck wont disappear before we find our second replacement (or is this a third since it is a replacement of a replacement ) - what about MEAT?

Since I am currently only in this & a theme league with Jeep I cannot really suggest any players - other than mostly those who have already been a part of NLD at some point. Apart from the players championship idea - which seems decent to me - all I can think of is posting on the forums as an open invite with a caveat (that the player be (a) have prior live draft experience and (b) be vouched for by a current or former NLDer).

Otherwise I will keep checking in & seeing where we stand.

DJ stepped away recently so I think he would be out. Any of the other * guys would be good. I've had convos with LMB and he's a good guy for sure. I think the others are also. AT, if you want to invite them, GFI.

I also extended an offer to Steve F who I know to be a really nice guy. I'm not sure if he wants to play or not. As always, first in gets the slot.

These are the finalists from the 2013 league. Obviously we already have Stoney and Spider with us but one would figure the remaining 10 to be good replacements. I think gbrooks runs the tourney so maybe he can contact them for us. We only need one, shouldn't be that hard.
