D2D Supp Draft Thread---Complete!

I (and co-commishes) are trying to keep the Alpha Roster and Alpha Prospect lists up to date, but there may be a guy missing. If he is on a teams roster on the East/Central and Midwest/West pages then he is rostered. sorry.

Don't need to be sorry. That's a lot of extra work involved in keeping those pages up to date. Hell, I just quit updating those at my league that I assist in. Maybe I'll take care of it later when I'm more in the "zone"...lol

I'd like to make a motion to amend the rules regarding first round un-timed being changed to regular slots in all draft formats (regular, supplemental, prospect). 22 hours (and counting) is pretty ridiculous in between picks, and it happens every time.

I will put it up for a vote after the season (along with any other new rules offered). Needs a 2/3 vote to pass. Unfortunately, it will not take effect for this season's supp draft. I have emailed bigmahon as well, hopefully he'll be on soon.

Sorry. I travel a lot. I’m just now home from a long work trip in China, which culminated in a 15 hour taxi / airport / plane combo today. Pretty sure I told Paul in an email that I was travelling also.

To save you all having to vote for the proposed change, I’ll just drop out of the league after this season. As for this draft, with Paul’s permission I’ll just claim back the players I dropped and forfeit my picks so you all can carry on.

Believe me, I know it's not easy but we all need each other as players to enjoy this game. And bigmahon wasn't on the clock so no harm no foul. Stick around!

We all know Bigmahon is in a diff. time zone, he does his best to get picks in. The only issue is when we are untimed, and it's not just one person...there are a few. Just need people to check when draft starts and be prepared to pick or send proxies.

It's a little unclear on who can be drafted in the supplemental
The rules say:

3) Owners may drop up to 3 players and replace them with any player who is not on a roster and has appeared in a MLB game.

6) to be eligible for selection in the Supplemental draft a player must have been eligible for selection in that season's FA draft.

#3 states ANY player who is not on a roster and appeared in a MLB game but #6 says must have been eligible for this seasons FA draft
That would mean Muncy (he qualifies according to #3, but not #6) would not be available --- correct or not?

Muncy was available in this year's FA draft. To be eligible for a FA draft you must have appeared in a MLB game prior to the calendar season's mlb year. Muncy played in the MLB in 2015 and 2016 thus he was eligible in this season's FA draft.

Basically, the only guys not eligible for this supp. draft are:

1. guys already rostered to a team (roster or prospects)
2. guys who saw their first real MLB action in the 2018 season.
