Here is what I am thinking about for a possible structure. I want to keep it simple.
1) Two season commitment. This years cards and next years.
2) Four Seasons a year.
3) I propose the same stadium should be kept , because the basis of your franchise is built to that park.
4) 70 mil cap..105 drop through out the season.
5) no DH
6) keep 15 players for each season...and then redraft.
7) Everyone lists those 15 and each owner agrees not to draft the grandfathered players and they are listed 10 through 25 on the draft.1 through 10 are up for grabs.
8) We agree to live with HAL's selections if he subs out from your protected 10 to 25 list...and WE ALL know HAL"S not perfect.
Simple clean..internet lite !

15 keepers seems like way too many...the luck of the 1st season's draft may likely determine the top teams throughout. I've had bad teams where I definitely didn't want to keep 15 guys. (That # = 9 position players, 5 starting pitchers, and a closer).
I would suggest 5-8 keepers, which will allow everyone to get some of the better players each season.
Just a thought...I game for whatever

I said in the emails that I liked 15 keepers, but I can agree on fewer than that as well.

From Mahoots:
Here are the "rules". If these final rules are agreeable, please add to this email and I will count you in and start the league. Here we go :
1) Two season commitment 2012 and 2013 new cards, four "seasons" for each year.
2) 70 mil cap,10% drop all year, NO DH.
3) Fixed parks for both years, UNLESS there are parks that have not been taken already by any of the existing team in the league. After year one, and the new cards come out, owners shall have the option of switching parks if the park they want to switch to is not being used by any other franchise in the league already.
4) 13 players shall be remain shall be grandfathered in and must remain on your teams unless moved by trades or waivers. Those 13 must be posted and shared and no other team may draft them. Should HAL make his usual mistakes we have to live with that. Rounds 1 through 12 will be anything goes.
5) Playoffs and pitching settings will be as fixed by the site.
Let me know if your in and I will post and start a private league and share the pass word..it would be great if we get all 24 , so I don't have to share this and explain it to general STRAT World..I think we are up to about 13...
I nominate myself as commish...Ready Set GO
thanks
Michael
