NL/AL Combo League

Here are the six owners in our league:

Rick N.
Rick (from NY; alias Joker)
Salt
Tom
Robert
Bob

We will go with 6 rounds of selecting NL and AL players with each owner having a NL and a AL team. Negro players can be selected to go with either league team. Each owner will post the player that is taken in each of the rounds on this thread and after the six rounds are complete, select two 200M teams and fill out a traditional draft list for each NL and AL team for the remaining 20 players, including the players taken in the live portion of the draft. No trades will be allowed between NL and AL teams that belong to the same owner. Additional ground rules will be discussed before we start games in our league.

Here is the draft order:

1) Robert AL
2) Tom AL
3) Salt AL
4) Robert NL
5) Joker AL
6) Tom NL
7) Rick NL
8) Salt NL
9) Bob NL
10) Joker NL
11) Bob AL
12) Rick AL

Hey Bob: Just checking in.

Verifying a few things. My guess is:
no clock
Serpentine. i.e., last draft position in 1st round is first in 2nd round.
First come first serve on players in both league? McGwire comes to mind.

Can we post our draft picks early if there is no conflict (no more teams of that league between him and their pick)?
This doesn't apply to me, I am surrounded by teams from the same league with both of my teams.
But Rob has the top AL and NL picks, he could theoretically post both at the same time, right?

Do we have to pick stadiums from the league the team is in? This would make sense to me.

I am sure more questions will come to mind. I will try not to be too much of a pest.

Oh yeah, good luck everyone. (216 Stitches = Rick N)

Yes to all of Rick's (216 stitches) questions. And if you would take McGuire as an AL player, you would need to use the card when he is a player for the AL (i.e. as an 'A' not a Cardinal).

Other questions are bound to come up, so let's sort them out together. This will be fun!

hi folks-
thanks for having me join you :)

I think I understand the parameters- each owner has 1 AL and one NL team and NeL players can be either.
Am assuming no CAP?

Glad to have you Salt!

If we can have no cap, that would be great! But how do I enter our league without a cap for ATGVII? Is there a way? If not, then I'll go with the greatest cap possible, which I believe is 200M.

The cap has to be 200 million. Although for the next season I propose a lesser cap to make things interesting. Everyone can vote.

My 1st NL pick is Rogers Hornsby, a Texan I believe. Delighted to be with friends. I think we span three time zones. I am Mountain time. Who amongst us will be the first to say "I wanted that guy". :? :? :?

Robert;
Did the other two guys pick? Did I miss that? Just want to cross guys off list as they go and yes I would want Hornsby, you bastard, lol. I also ask because I would be next.
