To follow up our 1888-1925 Franchise League and 1947-1966 League, here is the 1967-1992 AMERICAN LEAGUE version. You will have the opportunity to play with a smaller set of players, use players you may not normally use, and for some of us, relive some great teams from our youth. The NATIONAL LEAGUE version will also run concurrently (or close to concurrently)

First Rule of Thumb--Draft players carded to your franchise from 1967-1992.
SECONDLY, the AutoDraft follows ASSIGNED and DO NOT AUTODRAFT players listed below, which are the exceptions. You ARE NOT REQUIRED to draft your ASSIGNED players, they are simply yours exclusively UNTIL the Auto-draft runs. If there is a NATIONAL LEAGUE player who played for your team and IS NOT CARDED OR ASSIGNED in the Rosters below, you may add that card to your draft list. You MAY PLACE ELIGIBLE players from the rotated out team on your Autodraft Card, just realize that others may be after them as well, so place them higher on your draft card.

After the Auto-draft, any Free Agents who played for your franchise FROM 1967-1992 are eligible to be added to your team; NL or AL cards are eligible to be Free Agents if they played for your team from 1967-1992.



To keep things simple, 1967-1992 are the ONLY years that EXIST for this league, UNLESS an exception is made on the Roster Rules. Some cards outside this time window have been allowed for competitive balance. These cards are indicated on the Roster Rules.

Each franchise has at least 2 stadium options, listed below with the franchises.

We will randomize for Team Rotation Order and Manager Rotation Order.

Many of you have played in the other "era" leagues; some have not. Most questions can be answered by reading the roster rules for each team. I'll be glad to answer any questions.

Who is eligible for the League?
ANY Player with a card from 1967-1992

You may NOT use a card outside the 1967-1992 window UNLESS specifically stated in the Rules thread. A few examples, ANY Hank Aaron card is allowed in the NL League. ONLY Aaron's 1969 card is allowed in the AL. John Smoltz's SP is allowed, but not his RP card. Curt Schilling's 2 cards ARE in play.

You may AUTODRAFT players carded to your team, PLUS OR MINUS the ASSIGNED cards and the DO NOT AUTODRAFT cards.
--Luis Tiant has cards for the Red Sox and the Indians. He was ASSIGNED to the Indians in the AL. Only the Indians can AUTODRAFT him. He was assigned to the Pirates in the NL. Only the Pirates can AUTODRAFT him.
--Scott Sanderson has a card for the Cubs and a card for the Expos. Who cares? It's Scott Sanderson. He is not assigned. Cubs and Expos can each place him on their draft card and battle it out.

ANY ELIGIBLE PLAYER WHO PLAYED FOR YOUR FRANCHISE FROM 1967-1992 CAN BE PICKED UP DURING WAIVERS.
--In the AL, if the Indians dont draft Tiant in the AUTODRAFT, he could be grabbed by the Red Sox, Angels, Yankees, Twins during waivers, since he played for those teams during the 1967-1992 window. If the PIrates dont AUTODRAFT Tiant in the NL League, he sits. He played for no other NL teams during the 67-92 window.

Using your Luis Tiant example, in the season where the Indians will not be active I assume only the Red Sox can auto draft Tiant since they are the only active team that has a Tiant card. As usual, if Tiant is not auto drafted, then all the teams where Tiant played durign the 67-92 window can bid on him.
