First, this should be in the general thread not the Individual league thread but I'll answer anyway.

I'm assuming you mean from reading the cards and not after a games have played. If you mean how can you tell from looking at the cards, you want to avoid hitters with a high number of gbA's on their cards. With a man on base a gbA hit by the batter becomes a double play. gbB's and gbC's are fielders choice plays and either the hitter or runner are thrown out.

Conversely pitchers with a high number of gbA's are a good thing. They induce double plays and usually are found on pitchers that are known as ground ball pitchers.
