1) CUBS AND WHITESOX ARE NO LONGER COMBINED

2) OAKLAND AND PHILADELPHIA A'S ARE NOW AN ORIGINAL TEAM

3) BECAUSE OF LACK OF PLAYERS WASHINGTON HAS BEEN COMBINED WITH THE TWINS TO FORM ONE EXPANSION TEAM. (AND YES I CONSIDERED COMBINING TEXAS WITH WASHINGTON, BUT STILL NOT A LOT OF TALENT THERE TO MAKE THEM A PICK )

After listening to everyone's suggestions and ideas for the upcoming season: I have decided on the following changes that I hope will keep all interested and enthused:

1) The league salary cap will be raised to 165 million.

2) Each team will be allowed to draft one player from either a franchise that has not been chosen or one from the NEL set of players. You cannot draft any players that another manger has rights to. After giving this much thought I believe the easiest way to do this is by drafting said player in the original draft along with the other players . I think a supplemental draft would create problems with time constraints especially if the league is formed late in the week.


Hope everyone is OK with the changes....let's give it a shot and if there is problems we can always make changes in the future. If anyone is strongly oppossed let me know.

I may have confused some of you with the changes....we will pick a free agent when we draft our individual players.....in other words when the Yankees draft their team they must draft at least 24 players on the Yankees roster and one free agent from another franchise that did not get chosen; or one player from the NEL leagues.

We will not know which teams are not chosen of course until we conclude the team draft.


For example this past season both the Orioles and Reds were not chosen; so Johnny Bench or Ripken among others would be in the free agent pool.
