Dual Franchise League Season 11 FILLED ; DRAFT CAN START

This is the eleventh season of the dual franchise league. This League is using the ATG POST WWII CARD SET. Salary cap is 150 million, 10% DROP; Using a DH, no waivers.

Each manager must pick one team from each column below. . For the most part , teams on the left are original franchises and most teams on the right are expansion teams. ( THERE ARE SOME EXCEPTIONS HOWEVER, AND SOME TEAMS ARE COMBINED BECAUSE OF LACK OF PLAYERS.) A manager has exclusive rights to players on his roster; if a player is on more than one roster, he belongs to the team where his salary is highest. We are using a serpentine draft, so each manager picks one team first and then we reverse the order. You can make your first pick from either column. List of teams will be posted below. Please sign up using the cut and paste method. Official draft order will follow in an additional post. We are currently looking for at least two more managers to fill out the league. Any one interested please let me know.

To all the returning managers I had intended to step aside this season and I thought NYMETS99 was going to take over as commissioner ( he still may)...but I thought it would be best to at least get thing this league jump started before players lose interest. I tried contacting him this weekend but thus far no luck....I realize everyone has busy lives with work and vacations etc so I decided to at least get the ball rolling here.


If all the remaining managers from season 10 who are coming back would just drop a post letting us know you are in that would be great....we will be looking for at least 2 more new managers so anyone interested in joining this league please do the same.

There are no teams listed in the search menu for Tampa or Nationals: There are 2 players on Tampa who may be roster worthy: Zobtist and David Price. In Order to find these players you need to search the FA roster by name.
Secondly there are also 2 players on the Nationals that will be roster worthy: Bryce Harper and Alfonse Soriano. These 2 players are showing on the Montreal roster, however they will be the property of anyone who picks the Nationals in the draft ( the Expos already have an abundance of talent for an expansion franchise). If the Nationals either don't get picked or don't use these 2 players then the Expos may pick them up per league rules.

While we wait for everyone to get on board here are some random observations about new cards;

The Yankees get a much needed RH starter with Catfish Hunter....

The Cards get a premier 2B with Schoendist...

The Angels value went up with Mike Trout, as did the Rangers with Josh Hamilton, the Brewers as well with Lezcano and Hisle....

The Indians get a monster Thome card and also get the rights to Colavito....

Pirates improve with a good Dave Parker card as well as Renee Stennet at 2b."..


Dodgers get first dibs on Greinke ( as if they need more pitching).....

Hanley Ramirez has a good offensive card and is a 2 at SS, while Migual Cabrear has a great card also but unfortunately he is a 4 at 3B...

Both Bryce Harper ( monster card) and Soriano are listed on the Montreal roster even though they both played for the Nationals. I have assigned them to the Nats and combined them with Tampa and Arizona. Subsequently I combined the Rockies with the Marlins.

Several other teams get a starting pitcher...all in all a good group of new cards...

I'm in. However, I think the Harper and Soriano cards should be part of the Expos set since that is where they are assigned to and there is no Washington Nationals to pick from on the team drop down list on the filter. Just my 2 cents, but lately my 2 cents ain't worth a darn lol. I'd also like to see the salary cap lowered a bit, but again just my worthless 2 cents
