While we're waiting for GB, check out the NLD History
http://angelfire.com/games5/joethejet/NLD_History.xlsYou wlll probably have to copy and paste to get that to work.
Items to note (feel free to add your own!)
JTJ (and his partner Wineman) won his fouth NLD title to tie with Big M and AT for the most. He also now has the most best record seasons with seven. This sounds impressive, but unlike the other two, he has been in all 42 NLDs.
What is impressive is three consecutive best records tying with Stoney in that category. Stoney also posted 4 of 5 best records from NLD35-39.
He also posted the second best three season win average with 95 wins. Jeep, with the help of a 105 (!) win season, holds the record with a 95.33 average over three seasons.
Semper has posted back-to-back 88 win seasons and made the playoffs both times.
Spider broke a four season non-playoff stretch this time around.
OTOH, Smoke didn't make it after making the past two.
Falcon broke his maiden with a playoff appearance. He is also the second team to finish below .500 to make the playoffs.
JTJ's win is the 13th time that the best record has won. But it's the first time, without a tie at the top, since NLD 34 back in 2013.
GB finished the season with EXACTLY 1000 NLD wins! But, JTJ climbed past him into second for best winning pct.
Spider, who will have enough seasons to "qualify" after nld43 would be .0005 behind GB if he had enough seasons.
Beware of GB this time around, his pattern of on and off playoffs in threes has played out with three misses so he must be due for three straight playoff appearances coming up!
This league was pretty average in terms of spread of wins and distance from top to bottom.
