DUAL FRANCHISE LEAGUE SEASON 14

This will be the 14th season of the dual franchise league. Great to have all 12 managers returning for another season, therefore there is no need to explain the format. With season 13 winding down I figured I would post what I think some of you would consider interesting stats from previous seasons. There are also winners and some records posted. Comments are more than welcome.
The salary cap for the upcoming season will be 145 million; DH is in use, 5% drop penalty, and there is also going to be a slight change in some of the teams, I will explain more in a further post below.

After looking over the third post I realized just how poorly some of the teams have performed, namely the Orioles, Pirates, Cubs and Whitesox. It seems each franchise has arguably one marquee franchise player ( F Robinson, Kiner, Banks and Frank Thomas) but just not a lot of supporting talent, other impact players so to speak.

So after considerable consideration I thought it would be a good idea to combine the Orioles with the Pirates, and then make an all Chicago team combining the Cubs and Whitesox. I believe this is a great way to try and balance out the league a little. Both of these franchises will be in the original team column. So if my math is correct there will be 12 original teams and 13 expansion teams. Lets give this a try at least for a season and see how it plays out. Personally, I still don't think either franchise still has the firepower to win a title, but maybe with a good expansion team pick, who knows!

Maybe Award Maddux to Cubs, Bonds to Pirates ........

To DR FREEZE.....each of the aforementioned 4 teams would be combined to make 2 franchises. These 2 franchises would be in the original team column and they would both get an expansion pick like every other team.
