Dual Franchise League Season 25

This will be the 25th season of the dual Franchise League. This season's format however will be totally different from the past. The format is as follows:

-- each team can only have 1 player from a franchise on their roster: for example a team can only have 1 Yankee , 1 Astro or 1 Cardinal etc on the roster.

-- NEL players will be available and considered one franchise

-- there will be a 6 round draft of individual players , draft order will be based on last season's final standings. After the draft concludes each manager will submit a team for a tradional strat draft with their 6 draft choices as part of the roster.
The draft will be an NFL style draft going each round from 1 through 12.

---We will be using the Post WWII card set, salary cap will be 150 million, we will use a DH with a 5 % drop throughout the season


-- Players with multiple cards on different franchises; whatever card you are using the card counts for that franchise. If you are using Bonds Pirate card then the card can only count as Pirate card and not the Giants.

To Dr Freeze you are correct, once we draft our 6 players we plug them into an auto draft. Once the season starts you can only have one player from any given franchise. Also for an example, the post and expansion Yankees are considered only one franchise. In other words only 1 Yankee can be on your roster.

To Meat ; you actually gave me the idea last season when you were lobbying for an NFL style draft; I thought that it would be the fairest way under this format.

I will post looking for a replacement for Gamiam.

In the meantime I guess we can start the draft whereas the good Dr has already made his pick.

We have never done a 6 round draft before, so everyone please have some patience; remember some guys work long hours, other might be vacationing or have other important commitments....hopefully it goes smooth but delays seem to be inevitable. Let's have fun.

Like the Yankees example above, are all franchises considered one, likemilwaukee and atlantabraves, post and expansion while SOX, dodgers, Red Sox etc

Correct Meat.....Milwaukee and Atlanta are considered one franchise, as are Dodgers, Redsoxetc.
