Season 50 - RULES
This will be the 50th season of the Dual Franchise League. Salary cap will be 160 million, using a DH, 5% player drop and no waivers.
We will be using the same players pool as last season, the custom player set called “ATG9-Post WW2 V15”. All eligible players will be from the 1946 season to present. You may use any ballpark from 1946 to present.

List of Franchises:

____________________________________________________________________________________________________
There are 30 franchises to pick from.
- The Twins-Senators includes Washington Senators from 1946-1960, and the Twins thereafter,
- The Rangers includes Washington Senators from 1961-1971, and the Rangers ever since,
- The Brewers includes the 1969 Seattle Pilots, and the Brewers from 1970 on,
- The Expos-Nationals includes Montreal Expos from 1969 to 2004, and the Nationals since then.
Each manager picks 1 AL franchise and 1 NL franchise via the draft and builds his team from these two franchises. A manager has exclusive rights to players on his 2 franchises. If a player has a card with 2 different teams, the team with his highest salaried card retains his rights
Using Roger Clemens as an example, here are some different scenarios;
- If both Toronto and Boston get chosen in the draft, Toronto would own his rights because they have the highest salaried card for Clemens. Toronto could use any one of Clemens' cards either from Toronto or Boston.
- If Toronto and Boston are both chosen, but Toronto does not have Clemens on their opening day roster, Boston could now pick up Clemens off the waiver wire once the first game is played. Boston could also use any of his cards.
- If Toronto does not get picked and Boston does, Clemens now defaults to Boston, and once again they can use any of his cards.
- Lastly, if both teams get picked and during preseason discussions the manager of Toronto informs Boston's manager he has no intention of using Clemens, then Boston can pick him off the waiver wire without waiting for the first game to be played (sort of a gentleman's agreement).

TRADES
Each manager is allowed to make one trade before or during the season, prior to the start of game 40. Any player you are trading must be posted and confirmed by both parties in the league's Inbox.
This will allow everyone to follow trades easier and also to prevent managers from making controversial trades by throwing in player "rights" to conduct a trade.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________
FREE AGENTS
In season 50, each team will be allowed ONE Free Agent on the roster. Free agents come exclusively from one of the 6 teams not chosen in the draft.
For example, if the Angels are not chosen in the draft, players such as Mike Trout and Ken Tatum are eligible to be rostered by any team because their only cards are with the Angels.
Free Agents should initially be put on your Auto-Draft list, and must be limited to one only.
Each team must post its Free Agent in the league's Inbox.
Any team may change its Free Agent throughout the season as often as they wish, as long as each change is noted in the Inbox.
