I want to second this suggestion.
http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/game/347296/658David Freese. Nice bat, butcher with the glove. We carry Arias for a defensive replacement and time at third when it makes sense to put Freese at DH.
Arias covers for an injured player. HAL removes Freese for Chris Davis, a defensive replacement who plays third out of position. Defense at third goes from bad to as bad as possible. ?? It's discouraging.
Alternately, HAL could be trained to ignore "remove for defensive sub" if there is no one on the bench with a better fielding rating.
This sort of thing is a really serious limitation with HAL. As an over-the-board strat player, I had a lot of fun constructing flexible lineups. With the online game, it's seems to be much more important to construct nine-player everyday lineups of guys with great injury ratings.
