One guy that comes to mind that consistently changes his profile to save money is well known to anyone that plays ATG on a regular basis. That same person admitted changing his name in these forums when the subject came up. I think Strat has let him do it because, even with the discounted price, he still probably spends as much as anyone based on the number of leagues he enters.

Touchy, touchy, BJ. I push your little buttons even when I don't try... ;)

My point wasn't about "my understanding other managers feelings." My point was my relevant observation that the managers ratings and standards were primarily meaningless. So, let the anger go, chum...it's been burning you up for too long.

And managers changing their name is not the same as managers using two id's at the same time. If you do know about managers with two id's you should share that information with the forum.

What I miss is the total wins and losses that was also available when they had managers ratings. I fear someone with a .550+ winning percentage more than I fear someone with a high rating but a losing record.

Now, when I play a public league, I'm clueless (with a few exceptions) how good anyone is. Why SOM won't put up the manager records for the seasons they do have is beyond me and is nothing short of unforgivable.

I think it's safe to say we aren't getting the manager ratings back.
Probably time to move on and forget them. I'm sure that's what they want us to do with them.

I'm afraid that manager ratings will make me spend all my money. Like when I was a kid and I played pinball machines and spent all my money trying to catch high scorers like Mr. BlueBell, 19403 points. Oh, how I wanted to be on that list.

"But, how would the pinball machine know your name if you did better than Mr. BlueBell?" my mother would say to me. It didn't matter because I could never come close to 19403 points.

Anyway, it's all about the great baseball players I've had the honor to manage. They deserve the credit. I would be the humble sort and would never want to draw attention to myself and my zero championships.
