All of those years are problematic because MLB was mired in the Modern Deadball Era. Throughout the sixties and seventies, virtually all of the middle infielders hit like girls. Personally, I find the '71 card set to be pretty interesting, but yeah, it's frustrating when leagues do not fill.
Perhaps, SOMO should activate only one or two of the *Alternative* Years active at any given time. In other words, when '71 is active, turn off '82, '64, '99, etc. Alternative seasons could be available on rotation with say, one or two active at any given time.
FWIW, if you are looking for new alternative seasons, why not...?
1977 or 1979 - big hitting years in the 1970s
1993 - big rebound year after five years of enlarged strike zone (i.e., 1988 to 1992)
1994 - This was the first of the really massive hitting seasons of the '90s and early 2000s. Also, the year that was ended early by the strike, so it would be interesting to see full season stats from the great players
