It really doesn't matter--I won this game anyway but the team was awful---Warren was my mopup , Sanchez and Warren my 1 & 2 middleman and setup, Hunter the closer, Barrett RH spec, Lopez LH spec and Stammen 2nd mopup.
http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/game/426334/526http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/game/426334/538Barrett game into the game in the 6th with no role defined, and pitched 3 innings--and he also came into a game in the 6th trailing by 6 with no role defined--and promptly gave up 4 more runs--- I know Warren was rested, and Stammen too, but Barrett pitched two in a row, and didn't come out when a lh hitter came up either--I assume because he came in the game with no role defined.
This tends to happen to me when I carry 11 pitchers, but never when I carry 10--It has happened with previous teams and seasons with RH specialists--I can't remember a LH specialists behaving that way---when I go with 10 I have a LH specialist but no RH specialist, or rarely no specialist at all. I tried Barrett as a RH specialist for about 12 games (because I had cash left over after a drop/add) and I had to drop him.
He did come into some games as a RH specialist and was immediately removed when a lh hitter came up.
His settings were correct in the pitchers prefs too--I had quick hook and do not pitch to LH--that switch is ignored unless he comes in with the role defined I think.
I know a mopup should come in with a six run difference no matter if you are winning or losing--I just want hal to follow my preferences--Warren or Stammen should have been in both games instead of Barrett.
Improved Hal part 2--why can't hal pinch hit for a pitcher in the bottom of the 6th, when I have the remove after 6 switch set and he has completed the top of the 6th--hal lets the pitcher hit every time if you are leading--hal just loves to come from ahead to lose it seems.
