Some managers records are so good, and their teams appear not so good, that one has to wonder if they're hacking the system.

I love this game, but it is so flawed it is sick............... the computer manager has screwed me over and over again

Nah, its just they put the time in to do card counts... ie, figure out the chance rolls and % and such of the cards they think will do well.
Short, unexplained example:
Willie Mays will do well in pretty much any park, but, in a lefty park, with a lot of righty SPers, Boog Powell, will have more HRs, and RBI's than Mays, for almost half the price.
Or, in the current version 2012...
Soriano, in a hitter park, ie, a park with easy to hit HRs, will be among the league leaders in HRs also... for 2.7 mill
Yes, his D sucks, and he basically is just a DH and emergency LFer, but this game is not about what happens in real life.
This game is all bout %s and how to make a players card work best for your park, division, league.

for every 2 teams I purchased 1 would make the playoffs....... now its 1 of 3,,,,,, am I getting dumber?........

If that is the criteria you're using, the answer is maybe. You might think about getting checked out.
