Hey guys,
First I want to thank you all for a successful launch of the 2012 season last Thursday. The first few leagues that were able to get going right away are already in progress and many more are set to start up next Monday. If you haven't yet joined a 2012 league and plan to do so, there are still plenty of available leagues ready to be filled and you can always create your own league for others to join.
Moving on, today we have announced a brand new feature to Baseball Online, e-mail notification. Here is the link to the announcement.
This new optional feature allows you to receive an e-mail if you receive a trade offer, or a team either accepts or declines a trade offer. You will only receive an e-mail if any player on your "Watch List" is involved in a transaction. The Watch List is also a new feature where you can specify players who you want to be notified when they are involved in a transaction.
To turn these features on go to "Your Team" and then "Team Preferences". There you can turn on or off notifications when you receive a trade offer or a team accepts/declines your offer for both the team you are logged into, all your active, and/or all your future teams. From there you can also activate the Watch List for the team you are currently logged into. To add a player to your watch list find them on either their current team or the Free Agents list, select their name to bring up their player card, and an option to Watch This Player will be located on the top-left under the player's status.
All of these features that come with the new e-mail notification are explained in the announcement as well.
A reminder, sign-ups have begun for the 2013 Barnstormers ATG Tournament! You can learn more about the 2013 Barnstormers tour at the following link: http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/tournament/16. To sign-up you can e-mail the commissioner of the Tournament at moose@sirmightymoose.com or by following this link. The tournament should begin by the end of this month so make sure to sign up ASAP!
Speaking of the Barnstormers Tournament, congrats go out to those who reached the 2012 Barnstormers Finals League! Good luck to all of you in the Finals League!
