Garcia's Blog XLVI- Baseball Online Sale LAST DAY!!

PostThu Nov 07, 2013 3:24 pm

Hey guys,

Just want to make sure everyone jumps on the sale when they can. Today is the last day!

Through 11:59 pm ET tonight, you can purchase 3 credits for $49.99 or 6 credits for $79.99! That's the usual price of a 5-credit pack, now with an extra free credit included as well! We received a couple e-mails asking how to find the offers: You can find them on the regular "Purchase Credits" page by going to the "Start A New Team" button. Here's the link so you can just click here to find it. You can also see a link on the announcement box on all Baseball Online pages.

If you were planning on purchasing credits make sure to do it soon before these two offers are gone!

A fairly regular question we get is about completed teams showing up on your active teams lists. This only occurs when you choose to "Hide Front Office Scores" under Team Preferences. For any completed team you have, just un-check the "Hide" option and your team will be correctly moved to Recently Completed.

A second question we've received recently is about outfielders playing out of position. If you do not have an eligible player to play an outfield position, the computer manager will move another player there to play out-of-position. If possible, that player will be an outfielder.

When this happens he does not automatically get the worst possible defensive rating as would happen with any other player playing out of position. Instead there is a specific chart for these situations.

LF -> CF: +2 range penalty
LF -> RF: +1 range penalty
RF -> CF: +1 range penalty
RF -> LF, CF -> LF/RF: no penalty

Therefore if Torii Hunter (a RF 1 in 2012) gets moved to CF, he would play as a CF-2. If he played LF, he would use the same RF rating of 1. A centerfielder such as Drew Stubbs (1 in CF) remains a 1 everywhere. However a LF like Jason Bay (LF 2 in 2012) would become a 3 in RF and 4 in CF.

That's all I have for this week. As always if anyone has any questions please let us know at onlinegamesupport@strat-o-matic.com!
