How to do a 4 or 3 man rotation

PostMon Dec 22, 2014 1:39 pm

How can I do a 3 or 4 man rotation if I have old timey pitchers that have enough innings? I did a game by game custom lineup and HAL entered a 5 man rotation anyway...............! How do I shut down a pitcher that I don't want to see any game time, who is just on the roster to for monetary reasons? Thanks.

For a 4 man rotation, make sure you have 4 SP* guys and a .50 starter. Then list the 4 SP* guys in the Set Default Rotation and place the .50 guy in the 5th spot. Only the first 4 will pitch, barring injury.

I don't know of any way to have a 3-man rotation. In some instances, I have employed a strategy of 3 strong SP* and two cheap non* SP starters.

It is theoretically possible to do a 3 man rotation up through game 141. After that and in playoffs you would have to have a 4th starter because the technique will not work without making transactions. Prerequisite is getting permission from all league members because without that there is going to be some howling and cheating accusations.
